Treating Shock After Experiencing Trauma

PTSD or post traumatic stress disorder is

created when someone is not able to process experienced trauma from one or more incidences. When traumas are not processed in a timely manner, they become encapsulated in the consciousness. They then can manifest in the form of physical ailments. Often, as a survival skill, we repress these traumatic experiences, feelings and memories, We might need the aid of an experienced practitioner to help coax them out so that we can release any of these emotions, as a layer. I work with many patients who come to see me for emotional clearing. I help them release stuck or trapped emotions from past trauma using a method that I developed called "PanHarmonic Healing" (PHH) which is similar to Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) but is a far more expansive and more thorough means of emotional clearing. Based on stress related responses in the body, PHH helps unwind the memory of the particular emotional stress held in the body.


How to Clear Yourself From Shock of Trauma:

I want to empower everyone to try to clear their own shock and trauma if they can. If your trauma is deep or serious, you should consult a therapist or practitioner who can help you unravel deeply seated emotions. But I want to empower you to try this on your own as well. To do this, first think of the episode that caused you stress an iidentify the feeling of trauma or shock in the body. This may be a numbing-like feeling, shakiness, confusion, tearfulness, trembling or a blank feeling.


Next, Slap your arm with the right palm. This helps the body register that you are treating your shock.


Now hold the points illustrated with the thumb and index finger of each hand at these

two body points. Then visualize the event that was traumatic as if it were still happening in this moment. Go through the event in detail, several times if necessary, while holding these points and breathing. The upper points are located about 1.5 inches above the middle of the eyebrows and are held with left index and thumb.

The lower points are located at K27 acupuncture point or the nobs at the medial aspect of the clavicle or the collarbone and are held with right index and thumb.


Hold for 5-10 minutes until the feelings around the traumatic event is sufficiently reduced in emotional charge. You might feel a release or shift.


If you have experienced a deep emotional trauma, then counseling is advised. EMDR, therapy and other modalities may help. I have had great success over the last 30 years in helping my patients release emotional trauma using PanHarmonic Healing.
